When Is It a Good Time to Replace Your Coils

For example, coils that are used at higher wattages or with sweet e-liquids may need to be replaced more frequently than those used at lower wattages or with less sweet e-liquids.

Signs That Show It's Time to Change Your Vape Coils

There are several signs that it may be time to change your vape coils:

• Reduced vapor production. If you notice that your vape is producing less vapor than it used to, it may be time to change the coil.

• Changes in flavor. If the flavor of your vape juice starts to taste off or burnt, it could be a sign that the coil is no longer functioning properly.

• Gurgling or spit-back. If you notice that your vape is making gurgling noises or spitting back liquid, it could be a sign that the coil is clogged or damaged.

• Increased frequency of dry hits. Dry hits are when you inhale vapor that is not fully vaporized, resulting in a harsh, burnt taste. If you start experiencing dry hits more frequently, it may be time to change the coil.

• Leaking. If your vape is leaking liquid, it could be due to a damaged or faulty coil. Some coils may need to be changed more frequently, while others may last longer.

Can You Change a Vape Coil With Juice in It?

It is generally not recommended to change a vape coil with juice still in the tank because it can be messy and can potentially damage the coil or the device.

Here is a suggested process for changing a vape coil:

• Turn off and unplug the device, and remove the battery if it is a mod with a removable battery.

• Drain the e-liquid from the tank.  

• Disassemble the tank according to the manufacturer's instructions. 

• Remove the old coil by unscrewing it from the base of the tank.

• Install the new coil by screwing it into the base of the tank. 

• Reassemble the tank and fill it with e-liquid. 

As a general rule, it is a good idea to check the condition of your vape coils every few weeks and replace them as needed. This will help ensure that you are getting the best possible vaping experience and that your device is operating at its optimal performance.
