It's
pretty challenging to know whether or not e-liquids are safe to vape. But there
is a way to tell if you're vaping with unsafe coils. The first way is to look
at the ring itself.
If you're a vape user, chances are you've heard about unsafe coils. But what are they? And how can you know if your lock is safe?
First,
let's talk about what an unsafe coil is:
Unsafe
coils are made from materials that are not safe for vaping. These materials can
include things like lead and nickel, which can be toxic when inhaled into the
lungs. The problem with these unsafe materials is that they release fumes when
heated up by a vape pen or e-cigarette. These fumes can then be inhaled by
vapers, causing severe health problems such as lung cancer and emphysema.
So how
can you tell if your coil is safe?
Here
are some signs that it may be unsafe:
If it smells like chemical or metal when heated by your e-juice (this could indicate lead or nickel), don't use it.
1.
If there are visible deposits on the coil, don't use it.
2.
If there are no visible deposits, but your vape tastes
"off" or weird (like burnt rubber), don't use it.
3.
Don't use it if it starts to smoke or smell like burning
plastic.
4.
If you notice a "white haze" around your vape pen,
don't use it.
5.
If there is any sign of blackening on the coil itself (even
if it's just one spot), don't use it.
6.
Don't use it if the battery gets very hot to the touch.
7. Don't use it if you notice any strange odours coming from your vape pen (burning plastic, for example).
If
you've noticed any of these signs, it's time to replace your vape pen.
Replacement
coils are generally inexpensive and easy to find online or at a local vape
shop.
